I'm a big fan of SSDs (Solid State "Disks") - but when it comes to actually paying for it, it's hard to justify the expense.
And let's face it, until recently, most of these SSDs didn't quite deliver on raw throughput. Sure they have insanely fast access times, but when it came to read and write speeds, only a few (and really expensive ones) were able to fulfill.
But now, Samsung is annoucing their new 256GB Flash SSD, offering amazing speeds: 200MBytes/sec read and 160MBytes/sec write speeds.
I wouldn't mind having 4 of these in Raid 0 in my PC.
