Google Reader Rectifier
While Google doesn't come to grips with its new Google Reader redesign, here's a tip to help you minimize the amount of wasted white space that it received - and that makes it a pain to use in a smaller resolution screen (even though it's annoying in all kinds of screens, with all the wasted space on top that you can't even scroll out of view!). With this Chrome extension: Google Reader Rectifier, though it won't make any drastic changes, at least it will compress that wasted space a bit, making it a bit more user friendly.
It's still not enough for me; and considering even the previous Google Reader designer has offered to fix the new reader - I hope we'll soon be able to have a new and improved reader that is at least as useful as the previous one!
