Etch A Sketch on the iPad
I guess this project won't be near the record breaking $10 million Pebble has surpassed in Kicksarter, but one should never underestimate the power of nostalgia and the desire to bring back to life some of our old memories. If you have fond memories of Etch A Sketch, you might want to know that Etcher is working on bringing it back... onto the iPad.
Their goal is to gather $75,000 dolars (right now they're over $12 thousand, but they've just started.)
Being a digital version, you no longer have to worry about your creations fading away whenever someone shakes your tablet. I mean... yes, shaking will clear your digital drawings on the iPad, but before you do that you have the chance to preserve it and share it with the world, via Facebook, Flickr - or even uploading a time lapse video of your artwork being made to YouTube!
This Etcher can be yours for as little as $60... and that doesn't seem too high a price to relive some good old moments as well as allowing younger generations to have a glimpse at how "the first tablets" worked! :)
