Gmail gets Google+ Hangout powered Videochat
After allowing us to make video chat calls from within Gmail, Google now tries to consolidate that experience using a more appropriate tool in its toolkit, replacing the current video plugin with Google+ Hangouts.
This system is more modern, using the speedier Google network instead of peer-2-peer technology, and allowing users to make video calls whether they're on gmail, or Google+, or even mobile devices like Android or iOS.)
This update is rolling out as we speak, and if both parties are Google+ users, then you get even added benefits like screen sharing, muti-person video chat (up to 9 other), YouTube video sharing, Google Docs collaborative editing, etc.
