Hawken is now Available for All

The much awaited day has arrived: 12/12/12 - not the end of the world, but the the day Hawken is finally open to the public.

This free to play game will show you a mech game unlike any you've seen before. And as I had the privilege of being a part of the closed beta team, I was able to see it improve over the past months, with the development team adjusting and refining every tiny detail to make this game absolutely perfect (as well as squasing some bugs along the way.)

Although it's a free game, you're encouraged to spend some money buying more mechs and customization options (though you don't "have" to). And while it sill keeps the "beta" tag, don't let it scare you - the game is nearly as solid as it will ever be.

With scenery ranging from chaotic urban landscapes to barren desert worlds, there's a lot to keep you entertained in the multiplayer arena you're about to enter - and I just wish they had heard me when I suggested an underwater arena, that would completely change the dynamics and physics of these battles.

Now I just need to wait a couple month more for my Oculus Rift to arrive, and to be able to play this game in a truly immersive virtual reality way. :)

But until then, download the game and pick up your mech, and we'll meet in Hawken!
