All it takes is a quick distraction... and your precious camera might be forever lost in the wild blue yonder of our immense oceans. That's precisely what happened to Lindy Scallan during a scuba dive expedition in Hawaii, and for most cases, that would be it. Luckily, this wouldn't be it, as the camera has been found six years later over 5000 miles away.
The camera was found in Taiwan by a China Airlines emplyee, and the airline contacted Hawaii News Now to help track down the rightful owner. Somehow the camera survived relatively unharmed to six years of ocean travel, and its digital photos were still intact.
One might imagine how it would feel to recover some memories that we thought lost forever...
