Moto 360 will cost $249
The upcoming Moto 360 is one of the most desirable smartwatches we've been able to see for (although we haven't really seen much of it so far, other than it looks really good). But looking good and being amazing wouldn't mean much if you couldn't afford it. Considering you can now pay upwards of $100 for a simple fitness tracker and smartwatches like Samsung's Galaxy Gear 2 can cost about $300... most feared this Moto 360 would cost even more. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case.
Motorola has been experiencing a huge success in the affordable range. Their Moto G and the new Moto E are big hits, providing people with great "bang-for-your-money" devices, and they seem to want to do the same with the Moto 360. Although we're still waiting for an official announcement, a design contest by Motorola for the creation of a Moto 360 watch face has stated that the first prize (a Moto 360) has a commercial value of $249.
If that's the case, we seem to have a winner in our hand (literally :) Though it may still be more expensive than you'd like, it sure beats having to pay $299 or even more for a piece of high-tech Googliness in your wrist (the Moto 360 will run Android Wear, which seems to rely a lot on Google Now to push you information you need when you need it without you having to do anything.)
So... what do you think about a $249 Moto 360? Will this be your first next-gen smartwatch this Summer?
