It was expected for today, and here it is: the new Android 5.0 Lollipop is rolling out today, for all devices that have updates directly from Google (Nexus and Google Play Edition devices.)
We've already been over some of the new Android 5.0 Lollipop features, and Google's own roll out announcement doesn't go into much detail about every little thing you'll get with this new version - other than what will be the most visible aspect: it's new material design look.
After everything Google rushed to put in Android over the last few years, the release seem to be all about polishing up the details (while still adding new and enhanced features). This Lollipop is sure to make a lot of people reconsider their idea that Android is slow, inefficient, and... "ugly".
Now, all we have to do is wait, Google's phased rollout updates mean that millions of user will have to wait weeks till they get this much awaited new Android - unless you decide to do it the hard way, grab the files as soon as they're available and flash your device manually. I just hope that my Nexus 5 is in one of the first batches to get it. :)
