Before we get "futuristic stuff" in the future, first we need for people to dream and imagine how things will be, inspiring others to create technology that will allow those dreams to become real. Microsoft shares its amazing vision with us, of how things might be in 5 to 10 years time.
This Productivity Future Vision shows us a world where practically everything can be a screen: glass panes, walls (allowing people at home to have the rest of the family "right there" even though they might be anywhere else in the world), and even bracelets and thin and flexible paper-like tablets.
Perhaps even more important than having all this, is the envisioned workflow, allowing data to flow freely and easily between devices - which is something we're now starting to see on devices we have today (like Apple's Continuity, and similar technologies that are being developed for Windows 10).
Though I don't want to sound too pessimistic, I do think there's little chance this "vision" will come true in the next 10 years - but, I do hope to be wrong. Meanwhile, watch this vision, and let me know if you find it feasible to become reality in the next decade.
