Chewing gum can get rid of "earworms"

Ever had music playing over and over in your head, often when you're trying to sleep, and it seems there's no way for you to get rid of it? That's what's called an earworm, and we can finally exterminate it with chewing gum.

Having a music stuck in your head might not be as annoying as having continuous hiccups for days (or years!) but it can be quite annoying nonetheless. It also doesn't help that music producers try to compose new earworms in order to make a catchy music that people will hum along (and hopefully buy). But now, researchers say we only need chewing gum

It seems that chewing gum can get your brain free from earworms - not to mention that it can increase blood flow to your brain equivalent to "mild exercise" (not that it will help you burn as many calories as you'd wish for - so, no excuse for not taking that 30 minute walk every day.)

Thankfully, I can't even remember the last time I got a music stuck in my head, which might be explained by the fact that 99% of the music I listen to is the same music I listened to over a decade ago (yes, I know... I'm pretty much predictable in my musical tastes.) Guess it's not easy for a music to get stuck in your head when you already have them all in there... :)
