Google goes back to the old bookmar manager on Chrome
Google is known for doing whatever it wants to do, regardless of what users may think or want (remember when they killed Google Reader?) but this time it seems they did hear user's complaints regarding the new Chrome Bookmark manager and though it would be best to go back to the old one.
Google implemented the new bookmark manager a couple of months ago, replacing the traditional bookmark listings with a new "card-styled" material-design interface, showing images and short excerpts from each link.
It might look good and handle better in a touch oriented device, but for all those that used bookmarks as a way to manage hundreds (or thousands) of links... it was a huge setback.
So, Google decided to go back to the old bookmark manager (for now at least), but if you do love the new system you're not out of luck. You can still use the new card-style system by simply downloading the Bookmarks Manager extension for you Chrome browser and it's done.
... Couldn't Google simply have left things this way right from the start? :)
