At last, Apple Music is finally available, and with it we get 3 months of free trial that most users will certainly try out. The thing is, if you don't want to face an unexpected charge on the end of that period, it will be wise to turn off the automatic renewal for Apple Music right now.
Some people might have already put in their calendars a notice to cancel the subscription near the end of the 3 month trial period, but you don't have to. You can simply turn it off right now and still enjoy the service for the next 3 months. That hard part is figuring our where you can manage the Apple Music subscription, and that's where we come in.
To turn off auto-renewal for Apple Music, the easiest way to do it is:
- Open the Apple Music app
- Press the account icon on the top left of the main screen
- Select "View Apple ID"
- Choose "manage" in the "Subscriptions" section
- Turn off the "automatic renewal" for Apple Music
Rest assured, the free trial will continue till the end of the 3 month period (if you've done it on the first day Apple Music became available, that's September 30th) and at any time you free to come back to this screen and re-enable it once again - even if you do one month from now, you'll only be charged once the free trial expires.
