What will Apple reveal at today's event?
We're just a few hours away from Apple's event; time to take a step back and consider what we're likely to see today. More precisely, will Apple really show everything that's being rumored over the last few weeks?
If we're to believe all the rumors, today we'll get to see the new iPhone 6S, the new iPad Pro, the new iPad mini 4, new Apple TV, iOS9 and Watch OS 2. That would surely be a mouthful and provide the "greatest ever" (and probably longest) Apple event, but that wouldn't be very "Apple-like". Some are advising a more simpler approach, where today's event will focus just on the iPhone 6S, iOS9, a bit on Apple Watch OS 2, and finishing up with Apple TV.
That would be enough to fill up the usual couple of hours, without having to rush through it (or prolonging it into "annoyingly long" territory), and would leave the iPad novelties to an October event, like Apple has been doing in the past couple of years.
Never the less, whatever Apple has in store for today, we can expect the same sort of reaction that has surrounded past events. That there's nothing really "new", that it's "more of the same", etc. etc. And then, proceed to a record-beating launch event, with people lining up at stores to get their hands on the precious new iPhones. Though, I'm one of the persons that says that that's bound to start changing sooner or later, thanks to the increasingly good low-cost smartphone that we're seeing. And maybe as a sign of that, for the first Apple stock has dropped even before we get to see what Apple has in store for us.
Well... all will be revealed a couple of hours from now.
