Google Hangouts gets new secret emoticons

If you use Google Hangout to keep in touch with your friends, there's a new bunch of secret emoticons you can use to puzzle them and show your expertise in this app.

If you could already access things like the "shruggie" by type "/shrug", now you have a much wider range of emotions and things you can send automatically by just typing a shortcut, including things like /dealwithit, /tableflip, /wizard, and even... /puppyparty.

Here's the full list of commands (and don't forget the forward slash "/" at the front):
  • algebraic
  • dealwithit
  • disapprove
  • facepalm
  • flowerbeam
  • happy
  • lgtm
  • lit
  • octodisco
  • puppyparty
  • shame
  • shrug
  • success
  • sunglasses
  • tableback
  • tableflip
  • that
  • this
  • wizard
  • yuno

The new v13 Hangouts app also gets a setting allowing you to open links in an in-app browser, instead of being tossed to your default browser. Something iOS users have been enjoying for a very long time and provides a much better experience (IMHO).
