Google Apps Status Dashboard

Maybe it was triggered by the recent gmail outage that affected millions of users worldwide, Google now provides a page where you can quickly see, at a glance, the status of most of their services:

You can now easily check if there's something wrong with any of it, any planned maintenance work, etc.
